Tom Clancy CBA®
President

Tom Clancy CBA® is a business executive with a blend of management consulting, business development, program management and technology background. Tom brings more than twenty-five years of hands-on experience in managing, planning and implementing business transformation projects to improve businesses’ financial return and strengthen business portfolios. As a member of Accenture’s Business Architecture team, Tom was responsible for transitioning them to a “hoteling” work environment. Tom’s has also reengineered end-to-end operations for luxury hotels and architected a major system overhaul for a large e-commerce provider. Tom’s unique blend of skills has allowed him to successfully implement business transformation solutions in the Healthcare, Hospitality, and Consulting industries.

Shawn Parkes CBA®

Nhat Tran CBA®

Nhat Tran CBA® is a global business executive with a blend of management consulting and entrepreneur background. He has a track record of creating new business capabilities to enable growth. Mr. Tran has over twelve years in the Health and Life Sciences Industry and over twenty years of business and technology consulting experience with Fortune 500 companies. He is currently serving as a business architect, in a consulting capacity, for large corporations across different industries.

Successes:
Nhat served as a partner in a big-five consulting company. During that time, he helped to increase market share for a large medical device company through a strategic capability that remotely monitors heart patients with implanted device over the Internet. Mr. Tran created a new business architecture for a large health plan to enable a new patient-centric strategy. He improved operational efficiency for a large health plan by creating a retail/distribution strategy with real-time claims processing. Mr. Tran also helped to increase top-line revenue for retail, publishing, and financial services companies through improved CRM capability.

Keith Leust CBA®

Keith Leust CBA® is a global business executive with a blend of operations, strategy, management consulting, technology and human resources. Over his 25 year career, he has a track record of transforming business capabilities to enable growth. Keith is an advisor to several venture start-ups providing operations, marketing and technology advice.

Keith is currently a senior business architect, in a consulting capacity, for large corporations across different industries. His role is to work with the "C" suite to ensure strategic alignment between leadership, organizational capabilities, business processes and the portfolio of initiates in place to drive revenue and growth.

In addition Keith is the co-chair of the Business Architecture Association (BAA) Educational Committee.

By applying the business architecture framework Keith helped re-architected and transform Motorola IT reducing costs by $450 million. In addition he lead Motorola University including all Leadership Academy’s, launched a new direct distribution channel for Prudential, helped create a shared services capability for Wolters Kluwer and was a trusted business partner as a senior executive at American Express.

Dan Morris CBA®
Certification

Dan Morris CBA®, CBPP is an executive manager with over 25 years of experience in business and IT transformation. He is recognized internationally as an expert in operational improvement and serves as a member of the Forrester International BPM Council.

Dan is currently a Managing Principal with Wendan, Inc., a firm that specializes in business improvement and offers the first BPMS-based business optimization methodology. Prior to this position, he served as the US Practice Director for BPM and SOA Consulting (this included Business Architecture) at Capco Consulting, the US Practice Director for Business Transformation in Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences for Infosys Technologies, an Executive Consultant for IBM, and a CIO for a major publishing firm.

He is currently a member of the Business Architects Association (BAA) Board of Directors and the co-chair of the Educational Committee.

Successes:
Dan has led large and small business transformation efforts in a variety of industries, including Insurance, Healthcare, Manufacturing, High Tech, Retail, Publishing and Food Processing. Individual projects have delivered up to $65,000,000 in savings.

In addition, Dan led the startup of successful practices in the Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences industries at Infosys. These practices were based on BPM and Business Architecture, and included consulting and solution development/delivery. Teams were multi-national and included members from India, China, Europe and the US.

Dan specializes in business improvement. He has pioneered numerous business transformation approaches and techniques that have been shared in his books, articles and speaking. Today, he combines Business Architecture with Business Process Management to provide an ability to deliver broad scale change with improvement that can be sustained through constant rapid evolution.

Education/Certification:
Dan is the author of three books on business transformation and over 50 papers and articles. He has spoken internationally at over 25 conferences and he has presented and moderated Webinars for the Association of Business Process Management Professionals. Dan has been a guest lecturer at the University Of Illinois School Of Business and has provided both classroom and video training. He is a primary author of the BAA Certified Business Architect (CBA®) certification test and the Association of Business Process Management Professional’s Certified Business Process Professional practitioner’s certification test (CBPP). Dan currently writes a monthly column for IQPC on BPM and business improvement and is a “Frequent Contributing Author” for BPMInstitute. Dan holds a BS in Geology

Norman Kwong CBA®

Norman Kwong CBA® currently serves as a Board Director for the Business Architects Association®.  He has held the roles of President and Vice President of Marketing on the executive board of directors for the Business Architects Association®. He is also one of the founding members of the organization and has served as Nominating Committee Chair.  Norman works in the retail/distribution industry, specializing in Business Strategy and Planning and Project/Program Management. He has extensive experience in both business and technology management in the corporate and entrepreneurial arenas. He has founded two successful businesses: a telecommunications training and consulting company and a Tennis Academy . Norman holds a BS in Business Information Decision Sciences from the University of Illinois, and a MBA in E-Business Strategy from DePaul University 's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

Burt Covnot, PhD CBA®

Burt Covnot, PhD CBA® is a Senior Vice President of Enterprise Architecture at Bank of America. Bank of America is one of the world's largest financial institutions, serving individual consumers, small- and middle-market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk management products and services. Burt has been with the bank for over 12 years.

As a Certified Business Architect, Burt creates and implements strategies to further business and IT agility leveraging SOA and BPM technology. He co-leads the bank's SOA Center of Excellence, consults with business/technology partners and works with senior leadership teams to develop scalable target architectures. Burt has a Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology. A B.S. in Computer Science was earned from the University of Oklahoma.
