BAA Members:
As I start my tenure as BAA President, I would like to communicate my plans for the BAA. Below I have outlined the BAA’s Purpose and First Year’s Plan.
BAA Purpose:
To become the premier Business Architecture certification and training endorsement organization.
First Year Plan:
- Certification Test – complete the BAA certification test. We may still be looking for individuals to challenge a future Beta version of the test.
- Website – develop the website as a BAA / Business Architecture portal where one can find relevant information regarding Business Architecture. This is to include BAA Certification, training endorsement, Business Architecture information (whitepapers, jobs postings, articles,..), and links to other Business Architecture sites / information,….
- Training Endorsement procedures – the training endorsement process and certification procedures. This will be a guide one can follow to become a certified BAA Training Organization. Criteria covered will include:
- Develop endorsement criteria and evaluation process for third party training organizations that will be offering Business Architecture training
- Develop endorsement criteria and evaluation process for instructors that will be teaching Business Architecture courses
- Identify third party training organizations that will be offering Business Architecture training to prepare CBA candidates for the certification exam
- Endorse one or more third party training organizations to provide Business Architecture training to prepare CBA candidates for the certification exam
- Alliances / Partnerships – continue to develop key strategic partnerships / alliances to promote the BAA and Business Architecture role
There are currently four items on this list, but if we can accomplish all four of these, we will have made great progress. Each of these efforts will take considerable work and we are putting together the teams to drive each of these four items. We are looking for the support of every BAA member to contribute his/her considerable knowledge, energy, insights and expertise to advance our mission and help to achieve our goals.
