Upcoming Courses:

Certified Business Architect (CBA)® Program

The CBA™ is the BAA™’s certification for professional Business Architects.  It sets the definition of a Business Architect as: “One who has received their CBA™,” and provides employers and prospective clients with a clear, reliable and objective evaluation of the skills of a professional Business Architect.   The CBA™ is conferred to those who pass the CBA Exam™.  Completion of a BAA™-accredited Business Architecture program is a prerequisite for certification.

Master Business Architect (MBARCH)™ Program (coming soon)

This is the highest designation of competency for Business Architects, and is recommended for those who lead Business Architecture Groups in corporations.

CBA Updates™ Continuing Education Program (coming soon)

CBA Updates™ is the BAA™’s continuing education program.  It is designed to keep its members’ knowledge current, while placing the least possible burden on their time.

Corporate Training

All of the BAA™'s certificate  programs are available for group and on-site corporate training through the universities where the programs are taught.

Non-certificate training can be contracted directly through BAA™-accredited instructors. [Please note: This coursework will not contribute toward an attendee's certification. The attendee will need to retake the course through an accredited university program.]

Education Policy

The BAA™ does not teach courses or provide training directlyundefinedit is not its area of expertise, and wishes to avoid competing with its education partners. Instead, it accredits the institutions and instructors that teach its certification courses, and endorses course content through its BAA Institute™.

Bringing a Certified Business Architecture Program to your MBA Program

The BAA™ will soon be expanding its certification program to other universities. Through their work at DePaul University, the university through which the BAA™ accreditation was launched, several accredited instructors are available to help bring the CBA™ to the Management Department of your university's AACSB-accredited (or equivalent) MBA program.

We can help you to find an Accredited Instructor for your program, or arrange for training your Instructors to become Accredited Instructors.

[Note: Once the CBA™ is being taught within the MBA program, the university is encouraged to make it available to seasoned professionals with an MBA or equivalent thourhg its continuing education program. This makes the certification available to senior professionals who are not candidates for the full MBA degree program.]

Becoming an Accredited Instructor

The BAA™ is expanding its cadre of accredited instructors to help meet the demands of CBA™ education worldwide. An instructor must have an affiliation with the Management Department of an AACSB-accredited MBA program, be a CBA™, receive approval from the BAA Institute™'s Curriculum Council and participate actively in the ongoing advancement of the profession.

Suggested Coursework and Syllabi

The BAA™ recognizes the newness of the Business Architecture profession, while also cherishing the contributions of academic instructors in the advancement of the profession. The BAA Institute™ recommends specific coursework and syllabi for the education of a Business Architect, which are made available to accredited instructors as a guidance in preparing their syllabi for their courses.

Adherence to these suggested syllabi is voluntary, though encouraged, to ensure all certified Business Architects are working from a common knowledge base and experience, and the instructor's Business Architecture program receives/retains BAA™ accreditation.
